As State Chairs for the Eighteenth Annual Circle the State with Song (CTSWS) festivals, we invite you to participate in one of this year's most outstanding musical opportunities!
Each of the nineteen regions across Oklahoma will present an individual festival in January or February of 2012.

OMEA will sponsor a CTSWS reading session at fall in-service, October 20, 2011
Registration Information:
The goals of Circle the State with Song are to provide an opportunity for:
- Exceptional music students to work with guest choral clinicians on challenging music and for an exciting choral experience with other students
- Music teachers to observe and learn as the clinician works with the students and to share vocal pedagogy ideas with other teachers
- Students to perform children’s choral repertoire of excellent quality
- Both students and teachers to participate in the 2012 All-OMEA Children’s Choir
Teacher and School Eligibility:
- Teachers must be an active member of OMEA to register students
- Any school in Oklahoma whose enrollment includes grades four, five, six, seven or eight may enter their students in one of the CTSWS Festivals
- In this context, the word school also applies to ‘home school’ (This is only applicable to the CTSWS and All-OMEA Children’s Chorus)
- Music teacher(s) may bring the following number of students per school building, according to their school building’s population in grades four through eight

Below are the CTSWS entry and medical permission forms. Send the CTSWS entry form AND check and/or purchase order to your Region Chair. Please keep your medical release forms, and take them with you the day of your festival in case of emergency.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES: (All deadlines have passed for this year's CTSWS)
First CTSWS Deadline ($30.00 per student) – Friday, September 30, 2011
Second CTSWS Deadline ($35.00 per student) – Friday, October 7, 2011
