Tracy Skinner, CHAIR 2008-2009

As state Chair for the Fifteenth Annual Circle the State with Song (CTSWS) festivals, we invite your participation in one of this year's most outstanding musical opportunities!

Each of the fourteen regions across Oklahoma will present an individual festival in January or February of 2009.

Click here to find information about your region and festival site.

To register students, the teacher must be an active member of OMEA. Check or purchase order must also be included with registration form. Please read all instructions carefully. Deadlines will be strictly enforced. Complete information and application forms for CTSWS are available below, and the All-OMEA Children's Chorus forms are available here. OCDA will sponsor a reading session for this music at the summer convention in July, and OMEA will sponsor a reading session at the fall in-service conference, October 19, 2006 (Thursday, Western Heights HS, OKC)

The goals of Circle the State with Song are to provide an opportunity for:

  1. exceptional music students to work with guest choral clinicians on challenging music for an exciting choral experience with other students;
  2. music teachers to observe and learn as the clinician works with the students and to share vocal pedagogy ideas with other teachers;
  3. students to perform children's choral repertoire of excellent quality;
  4. both students and teachers to participate in the 2009 All-OMEA Children's Chorus.
